Why Survivor Leadership Matters

The Power of Survivor Voices

Survivors should never be participants in the work to end violence against women—they should lead it. Our approach is rooted in community organizing, survivor leadership, and the belief that those most impacted by systems are best positioned to transform them.

Real change happens when survivors move from being treated as clients of systems to being recognized as experts, organizers, and architects of solutions. By organizing survivors and building strong community partnerships, we are transforming systems to be more equitable, accountable, and responsive.
