Some online stores now accept SNAP benefits for online orders and will deliver to you. Use your EBT card to shop securely for fresh produce and groceries. Participating stores in New York City are: Amazon, ShopRite, and Walmart

Courts:

Courts are still using virtual services. Courts are resuming in-person operations Statewide to include non-essential matters.

Temporary Orders of Protection issued in any court of the New York State Unified Court System which were due to expire on or after March 19, 2020 have been extended and are considered still in effect until parties are otherwise notified.

Housing:

Shelters remain open and doing intakes for shelter placement.

NYC has created a tenant hotline. Call 311 for more information.

All residential evictions are suspended. City Marshals should not attempt to execute warrants of eviction. Anyone with knowledge of City Marshals trying to execute warrants of eviction can report this activity by calling the Department of Investigation Bureau of City Marshals at 212-825-5953.

Loss of Income:  Both NYCHA and Section 8 residents can do this online if they have experienced a loss or reduction in income. You can do this through the NYCHA self-service portal or by calling the Customer Contact Center 718-707-7771. Keep a record of when the request was made and submit all supporting documentation within 45 days by mail or, by appointment, at your management office.
